How we're different
We only do beautiful, bespoke and stunning floral styles (no yellow cellophane in sight!). We price fairly, hand-design with love, and deliver happiness every day. We exist to make people smile.
Are you one of those order gathering websites?
Hell no. Those websites take a massive commission (sometimes over 35% of what you've just paid!) and then outsource your order. We deliver from our floral workshop direct to the recipient. There's no middle man. We do everything with 100% love and we support other small businesses too. When you buy from us you are support a local small Tasmanian business.
Where's your shop? I want to come visit.
Our gorgeous flower shop is located at Shop 1A "Bank Arcade" 64 - 68 Liverpool St, Hobart. This is where all the magic happens and where you are able to shop till you drop! Come and say hello!
Can I customise my hamper or flowers? Can you make something special for me?
The flowers on our online store are seasonal, and there are some gorgeous flowers right here on our site and in-store on a daily basis. Check out our Instagram for other designs we make. If you have something different in mind, or want us to make something really special just call us on 03 6234 4668 and we can talk about availability and pricing.
What are your opening hours?
How do I place an order?
The best way is right here online, any time of day. Just choose your gorgeous flowers or hamper, the date you would like them delivered, then enter your details and the recipient's details too. A phone number for both you and the recipient would be great just in case we have any concerns during the delivery process. There's a space to write a message which we will attach to your flowers for delivery. You can also order by phone.
Can I order from overseas?
Yes, of course you can! Our online store is secure - you can pay by using Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Pay Pal, Zip Pay or Latitude Pay. You're also welcome to phone us to place an order.
What is the difference between the Sizes when I order flowers?
Arrangements and Bouquets:
With our arrangements and bouquets, we have Standard, Add a bit more and Double it. The product pictured is generally the "standard" size. Add a bit more, we will add more flowers to reflect the price, and double it, will simply mean we will double the size that you see in the picture :)
What is your free delivery area?
We deliver deliver for free for all orders over $90.00 to the postcodes of 7000, 7001,7002,7003,7004 and 7005, 7009, 7008, 7018. These areas include Hobart CBD, North Hobart, South Hobart, Sandy bay and more! Have a look at our delivery areas for more info on delivery.
How much is delivery?
Delivery fees start at $15.00 AUD and is calculated by the postcode its being delivered to.
If your order is over $90.00 Delivery is complimentary to Local Hobart Areas.
If your delivery is outside of the Hobart area, rural or a very long way away, delivery starts at $18.00 AUD.
If your delivery is outside of Tasmania, a $30.00 delivery fee applies.
Can you deliver my flowers today?
Yes, we can! You just need to place your order by 2pm weekdays. Saturday delivery can be organised in advance. We do not deliver on Sunday's (Unless it is Mother's Day or Valentines day). The earlier in the day the better for us to work our floral magic for you.
Distant areas that are not in the immediate area please allow one business day notice due to long distances and courier restrictions.
If it is after the cut off time or you need an express or timed delivery, please call AVANE directly and we will try to accommodate.
We ensure that all deliveries reach business addresses by 5pm and residential addresses by 6pm
Where do you deliver?
We deliver to all Hobart suburbs and surrounds too. Tasmania wide and Australia wide. We do not deliver our flowers interstate, only plants and food products that do not require refrigeration.
I need a delivery by 11am! Help!
We've all been in that pickle. Hopefully we can help! Phone us on (03) 6234 4668 to see if we can arrange an express courier for you.
I've missed the cut off time for same day delivery, can you still deliver something today?
Most of the time we definitely can! Just give us a call or message us to double check, and we will look after it for you :)
What special instructions should I provide?
The more information you can provide about the delivery location, the more smooth the delivery process and the less chance of re-delivery fees being incurred.
Business Address: Please provide the name of the business and whether the gift should be delivered to reception, a loading dock or building concierge.
Residential Address: Please ensure that our drivers will be able to gain access to the property. If the address is within a secure building please ensure that the recipient will be home on the day of delivery or alternatively specify a safe location where the gift can be left. If our drivers cannot leave the gift in a safe location they will be returned to AVANE HQ and a re-delivery fee will apply.
If no one is home when your gift is delivered
The recipient will be called to obtain instructions as to where the gift may be left or your gift can be left in a place nominated by you ( see 'Delivery Instructions' in check out) and if our courier deems it safe to do so. Alternatively, if there is nowhere safe or protected to leave your gift or weather conditions are not favourable then the flowers will be returned to the shop. The flowers can be re-delivered on the next available delivery run and will incur another delivery fee, or the gift can be collected from our shop.
If your gift contains alcohol
Please note that alcohol is provided on our website as an added gift only. It is not to be ordered as a one off product. Under Tasmanian Law alcohol cannot be left unattended or with a minor.
Presentation of Flowers and Plants
How will my gift arrive?
All our flowers and gifts are sent out with absolute love and care, they are all carefully packaged and hand delivered.
Our flower arrangements are presented in a special foam that keeps them hydrated. Our flower bouquets are wrapped in water to stay hydrated. We’ll then add our standard message card with your lovely card message. We then pop the address label on and it’s ready to make someone’s day!
How do I care for my flowers?
So you have been the lucky receiver of a AVANE gift. LUCKY YOU! Our flowers are presented in a special foam that keeps them hydrated. All you need to do is top this foam up with water daily. Occasionally mist your floral arrangement with water if you can and remove any dead heads or leaves from the arrangement as time goes by. Place away from direct sunlight or heaters.
If you receive a bouquet, place in fresh water away from direct sunlight or heaters and cut the stems on an angle every 2-3 days.
